Intro: Vietnam into the deep

Si Muka Lebar and si Kaki Berbulu have already planned a big trip for this year, since our last trip to Bangkok last year, we made commitment to our selves that we should buy less shoes see more places, visit more cities  Thanks for the promo red flight ticket, this year we will go to Vietnam!! For eight day, this will be the longest traveling period that have ever existed since the introduction of LCC in our life.

Do we really love this Vietnam, so that we can't just go for a couple days? Well, we should send the thanks to si Kaki Berbulu the one who bought us the tickets. Why babe? Why EIGHT days?

So, he tried to buy us the cheapest tickets and he tried to compare the ticket price each day, by clicking "next day", for the flight back to Indonesia. Some how, he forgot to also click the "next date" on the departure day and suddenly we realized (after the payment was made and the confirmation page was printed out). Hey we are going to Vietnam for eight days. Yaaay!

Please don't get me wrong,  I am happy indeed. Somehow, this length of stay will be resulting in the pricey journey, even when we are backpacking! We are not designed to be a true traveler, to save all of our money for traveling or choosing the cheapest way possible to travel. That is why, it is a bit challenging to accommodate our needs during the trips...

The budget
To accomplish the ambitious plan, you can simply save your money. Just like people do, calculate the budget and save the money until the day.
Or if can't  save money, you can settle the bills one by one (if possible to pay the transportation, accommodation and ticket in front). One months, one bill. So, at the day, you just have to pay for the meals.

The other way, you can pick the economical value for each component in your trips. Bring less luggages, stays in backpacker hostel, bring sandwich for lunch, or one of my friend told me about coach surfing. She has done this so many times. And it quite oke. Me never try one, since si Kaki Berbulu still can afford a backpacker hostel. We always decide to choose the most economical place to stay with maximum comfy rate.

Next issue arises from bringing less luggages is packing. How to pack light, i brought this tips book from Lonely Planets that gives us useful technical information to plan a trip with useful links, which i forget... Hahaha. I'll write it later... My trick to pack light is to put your clothes in the plastic bag before put it in the backpack. You have to press the plastic bag before you tied it, let the air out, and the package becomes smaller, means more space for other stuffs.

And... before go to this long backpacking trip, make sure you have emergency contact and fund. Wish us luck!!!!! I am writing this because i have no idea how to start packing for eight days...

i can only bring that backpack, can i bring my suitcase baby?
